CA Legislation 2012
There are only two medical cannabis bills left in the California legislature this year, and Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is supporting both.
AB 2312 by Assemblymember Tom Ammiano (D-SF) will create a board to develop statewide standards for medical cannabis, limit taxation to 2.5%, and make banning patients cooperatives and collectives harder. Click here to learn more about the bill and what you can do to get it adopted!
SB 1182 by Senator Mark Leno (D-SF) will add patients' medical cannabis cooperatives, collectives, and other associations to the list of those protected by the Medical Marijuana Program Act (SB 420). This will help prevent unnecessary harrassment, arrests, or prosecutions in cities and counties statewide. Click here to learn more about the bill and what you can do to get it adopted!
